The idea for 3D History Trek originated with our experiences visiting amazing museums, archaeological, and historic sites and being the only visitors there. We knew that these places held incredibly important information and material and we were frustrated that they were not getting the attention they deserve. When the pandemic hit, we turned to virtual reality as a learning tool and were quickly disappointed by the lack of content for history and archaeology.
We decided to fill the gap by launching 3D History Trek. Our staff and contributors combine experience in archaeology, history, photography, and teaching to give sites and museums the tools to remain competitive and relevant in a crowded digital market while also working with experts to share their knowledge and take the lead in VR-based history education through immersive, accessible virtual tours.
I built my skills in visually story telling over 30 years as an archaeological illustrator. I specialize in creating clear, accurate images for professionals as well as developing images that inform and engage the general public. I embrace my love of history and archaeology with in-depth research for 3D History Trek projects and use Pano2VR to assemble the tours. I have travelled extensively in my work as an archaeological illustrator and had the honor to visit some of the world’s most fascinating sites, but I hope that 3D History Trek will also encourage people to see that, no matter where you live, the history in your own backyard is equally worth celebrating.

My 360 photography is shot on professional DSLRs with specialized lenses and tripods. I also shoot with the Insta360 Pro, a spherical, six lens camera used by Google to shoot Streetview images. I then carefully edit the photographs with an eye to clarity and detail. I specialize in landscape and historic site photography and have worked as dig photographer for the archaeological site of Idalion in Cyprus. I have created 360 tour photography in Europe and the United States with a focus on historic sites.
