Description
This virtual tour showcases seven of the buildings designed by Clarence “Cap” Wigington, America’s first Black municipal architect. His legacy still shapes life in St. Paul, MN where he worked as a city architect from 1917 through 1949. The tour consists of 360° panoramas taken with a professional grade camera and lined together to explore the buildings from different angles. The buildings date from 1921 to 1941 and demonstrate Wigington’s skill and vision in designs created in a tumultuous period covering of two world wars and the Great Depression.
